Beverages Going Digital

Case

The client, one of the largest beverage companies in the world, was implementing an SAP solution across the Asia-Pacific region. At the time, the global template for SAP PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) was not fully developed for customer service and equipment master data. Since some equipment placed in public areas also served customer-related functions, additional master data needed to be incorporated into the equipment masters. Another key challenge was managing the full lifecycle of assets from an accounting perspective, as assets became operational, generating revenue and incurring costs from the installation date.

Challenge

A staging server was required to remain in sync with the SAP global solution, ensuring that master data could support local solution needs. This included integration with various applications for route planning using GPS, equipment servicing calls, CRM, and sales data collection via equipment. Additionally, the solution had to be further developed to record equipment data daily for sales and financial tracking.

Solution

Our consultants took on this challenge and successfully deployed the solution within the stipulated timeline. The team developed a robust approach to integrate SAP with multiple applications using a staging server for data synchronization. Additionally, they tackled master data build-up challenges, as much of the data was scattered across various legacy systems or required manual field collection. By leveraging new methods and technology advancements, the team delivered effective data models for upload, handling one of the most complex data migration exercises.
