Case

Tecxed has successfully delivered multiple projects within this industry vertical. One of the most challenging projects was for a Titanium Dioxide manufacturer in Saudi Arabia. The project involved revamping the maintenance management system, which required critical changes in finance, procurement, inventory processes, and system design. A significant training and data correction effort was undertaken to ensure the successful deployment of the revamped design. Additionally, plant shutdowns and project activities were mapped in SAP-PS.

Challenge

A dedicated user team was formed to execute the project. System design changes were centered around Return on Investment (ROI), process integration, data cleansing, and change management. The goal was to enhance user confidence and skill levels, resulting in a sustainable application asset. Additionally, financial system integration was improved to optimize operational costs and enable better cost identification.

Solution

To achieve cost savings during plant shutdowns and project execution, the maintenance management system was integrated with the project management system. This integration reduced planning efforts, improved vendor negotiations, and enhanced cost visibility. The newly designed system also contributed to lower operational expenses by optimizing inventory utilization and procurement planning.
